A Jackson County jury has recommended a sentence of life without parole for Kim Davis – the man convicted of murder in the dragging death of 6-year-old Jake Robel. The Independence youngster died when his mother’s vehicle was stolen and the boy became entangled in the safety belt and was dragged. Prosecutors had argued for the death penalty while the defense pleased for life without parole.
