Woody Williams pitched seven strong innings, allowing two earned runs on two hits to lead the St. Louis Cardinals past the Pittsburgh Pirates 7-3 on Sunday. Williams is now 15-9 on the season and 7-1 since being acquired by St. Louis from San Diego. At the plate, Albert Pujols had a big day with two hits including his 37th home run. He knocked in a pair. The Cardinals are now just one game out of first in the National League Central and four games up in the wildcard race.
