More Fines Against "No-Call" Violators

September 7, 2001 By admin Leave a Comment

Seven telemarketers – three based in Missouri and four located outside the state – are going to have to pay a total of $40,000 for violating Missouri’s “No-Call” Telemarketing Law. The action follows complaints to Attorney General Jay Nixon’s office – complaints from people whose home phone numbers are on the list. The companies include American Building Contractors of St. Louis, St. Clair Corporation – also of St. Louis, and WRV of Monett. In addition to the Missouti-based companies, fines have been levied against businesses operating out of Texas, Florida, Indiana, and Illinois. To date, $165,000 in fines have been handed out to companies violating the law.
