The costs of a proposed new state program to help poor senior citizens buy their drugs is coming under close scrutiny at the Capitol, but the Legislature is moving on the idea. The Governor’s Task Force on Prescription Drugs has proposed an idea it says will cost the state about $50-million the first year. The Senate is likely to advance the bill setting up the pharmacy assistance program today.
