Quinn Walks! Quinn Walks! Quinn Walks!

August 31, 2001 By admin Leave a Comment

For the first time since May 8th, Royals outfielder Mark Quinn drew an unintentional walk last night. The dramatic moment occured in the fifth inning after Quinn took a 3-2 offering from Jarrod Washburn high and outside. Quinn had gone 241 plate appearances without picking up a base on balls that was not intentional. Oh yeah, the Royals completed a three-game sweep of the Anaheim Angels with a 2-1 win. Gregg Zaun singled in Mike Sweeney with the winning run in the bottom of the ninth.
