A special task force working to put together a prescription drug program for seniot citizens to deliver to the Legislature has completed its work. The effort came to an end today with members of the Governor’s Task Force on Senior Prescription Drugs taking part in a conference call and unanimous vote in favor of its proposal. The proposal would have the state pay 60 percent of the drug costs to the neediest of Missouri’s elderly, with a cap on benefits. It’s estimated to cost about $50-million the first year.
