Slow Down In Work Zones Or Pay-Up

August 25, 2001 By admin Leave a Comment

Starting August 28, motorists who speed or pass in active work zones on state highways will be in for higher minimum fines – fines of $250 or more. The Missouri Department of Transportation says the new fines are part of legislation recently signed into law by Governor Bob Holden. The law encourages drivers to obey reduced speed limits in work zones because additional $250 fines can be levied when workers are present in work zones.
