For the first time this exhibition season, the Kansas City Chiefs tasted defeat on Thursday as they dropped a 28-23 decision to the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Chiefs took a 20-7 lead into the locker room as the first-string played quite well. QB Trent Green was sharp, completing 14 of 22 passes for 166 yards and a touchdown. He was also intercepted. Todd Collins also played well under center, going 13 of 19 for 133 yards and a score before leaving with a bruised left shoulder. The Chiefs had a chance to take the lead late in the fourth quarter, but Frank Moreau failed on two attempts to score from the Jags one-yard line and Jacksonville took over on downs.
