The Kansas City Royals scored seven runs in the first inning, but in the end it proved not to be enough as the Chicago White Sox picked up a 13-12 win at Kauffman Stadium on Wednesday. The Sox trumped the Royals big inning with an eight-run sixth inning, doing most of the damage against reliever Doug Henry (2-1). Henry allowed seven runs on six hits in just 1/3 of an inning. Carlos Beltran had a huge game in defeat for the Royals, going 3-4 with a grand slam and six runs batted in.
