Missouri safety officials are offering their thoughts on the Consumer Product Safety Commission report on the dangers of motorized scooters. The Commission claims that between January and July of this year emergency rooms around the country logged more than 2,200 injuries associated with scooters. The Missouri Division of Highway Safety says scooter riders should use some common sense, and that includes exercising the same amount of caution that would be used when riding a bike. The Commission offered no state-by-state breakdown of the injuries. The Division says the scooter injury scare does not seem to be a big problem in Missouri.
