Claims Files In Kansas City Cattle Crimes

August 21, 2001 By admin Leave a Comment

Assets have been frozen, inventory is being counted, and claims are being filed as an alleged fraudulent cattle-buying scheme run out of Kansas City is being investigated. Investigators have located only about 13,000 of the 200,000 head of cattle George Young of Grant City was to have been fattening for various clients. Losses could top $100-million. Young’s cattle company closed August 10th after Omaha bankers worried he was using the same cattle as collateral for loans from multiple investors.
