Despite the second career complete game effort of Chad Durbin’s career, the Kansas City Royals lost to Detroit on Sunday 4-3. Durbin (7-12) allowed just one earned run on seven hits while walking one and striking out three. Neifi Perez committed a costly sixth inning error which opened the flood gates for three unearned Tiger runs. Luis Alicea homered in defeat for the Royals.
