Cal Ripken’s solo home run in the bottom of the sixth inning snapped a 4-4 tie and gave the Baltimore Orioles a 5-4 win over the visiting Kansas City Royals. It is the second straight game that a Ripken home run has given the Orioles a lead they would not relinquish. Kris Wilson allowed the dinger and all five Oriole runs to fall to 6-3 on the season.
