Governor Sets September 5th For Special Session

August 16, 2001 By admin Leave a Comment

The special session of the Missouri Legislature will begin on September 5th. Governor Holden made the announcement Thursday. It will take place a week before lawmakers are to hold their annual veto session. Three issues will be on the agenda during the special session: Prescription drugs for senior citizens, the state’s controversial Livestock Marketing Law, and adjusting state tax law so Missourians will not have to pay tax on the rebates from federal tax legislation.
