Holden Appoints Domestic Violence Task Force

Governor Bob Holden has appointed a task force to look into domestic violence and to come up with ideas for dealing with the problem using the resources available. The Governor’s Task Force On Domestic Violence is made up of ten representatives from state agencies and victims’ services. Public Safety Department Director Charles Jackson chairs the task force. Among the other members of the panel are Health Department Director Maureen Dempsey, Department of Corrections Director Gary Kempker, Social Services Department Director Kathy Martin, Education Commissioner Kent King, and Office of Administration Commissioner Mike Hartmann.
