Cardinals WIn Behind Morris

Matt Morris improved to 14-7 on the season with 6 2/3 strong innings of work, leading the St. Louis Cardinals to a 9-6 win over Montreal. Morris allowed five runs on ten hits while in the ball game, picking up this win on his 27th birthday. The Cardinals won this game with J.D. Drew, Mark McGwire and Jim Edmonds on the bench. Kerry Robinson started in centerfield and went 4-5 with three runs scored in the win. The Cardinals took two of three from the Expos.
