Drought A Big Concern Because Of The Heat

This summer’s hot and humid conditions have not helped ease drought concerns in south-central and southeastern Missouri. So far, it’s the lowest level of drought conditions – the advisory phase – and only part of Missouri is affected. But a panel of state specialists ia meeting to assess the situation. Northwest Missouri had plenty of rain in the spring to get through the summer, while northeast Missouri had to recover from spring flooding.
