Rams Win Exhibition Opener

August 7, 2001 By admin Leave a Comment

Marc Bulger hit Jeff Robinson with a three-yard scoring pass early in the fourth quarter to snap a 10-10 tie and eventually give the St. Louis Rams a 17-10 win over the Miami Dolphins in Monday’s Hall of Fame Game. Rams #2 quarterback Joe Germaine looked good in this one, he completed 11 of 13 passes for 156 yards and he ran for a two-yard touchdown. Trung Candidate caught four passes for 77 yards and ran for an additional 26 yards before suffering a knee injury. The Rams played without All-Pro wide receiver Isaac Bruce and all-pro running back Marshall Faulk. Bruce is in Florida after the death of his older brother. Faulk was held out with a bruised knee.
