Voters in three legislative districts go to the polls on Tuesay to elect new State Representatives. One of the closely watched races is in northern Missouri’s 7th District. The seat was previously held by Republican Jewell Patek, who left to work for Congresman Sam Graves in Washington. Republican John Quinn – a farmer from Chillicothe and Deron Sugg – a lawyer from Carrollton, are going after the seat. Both want to see the state government do more for rural Missouri. In addition, both believe the state is wasting public money on such projects as a new stadium for St. Louis.
