Voters in northwest Missouri’s 3rd Legislative District go to the polls next Tuesday to cast ballots in a special election to send a State Representative to Jefferson City to replace David Klindt, who was elected to the State Senate. Roscoe Moulthrop, who served 27 years in the Air Force, represents the Republicans while the Democrats are represented Trenton car dealership owner Jim Whorton. Moulthrop has several priorities, including new roads for rural Missouri. But he does not want taxes increased to pay for the projects. Whorton says his priority is taking care of the needs of senior citizens. Both candidates believe they can make a difference in Jefferson City.
