The Missouri Public Service Commision and the Department of Natural Resources have entered into a cooperative working agreement aimed at increasing efficiency, improving utility services, and ensuring protection of the state’s natural resources. The agreement fosters inter-agency communication, cooperation, and coordination and does away with so-called “turf battles” that have been waged in the past. The PSC and DNR will be working together to ensure there is compliance with the federal Clean Water Act, the Missouri Safe Drinking Water Act, and the Missouri Clean Water Law.
