Lawmakers Continue To Blast State Over Roads

July 28, 2001 By admin Leave a Comment

The Department of Transportation has taken regular beatings from legislators who say it has deserted the public on the 15 year road plan. But lawmakers say there are some smaller issues, too. Although the Transportation Department’s new five-year plan is made up mostly of projects from the 15 year plan, the Department keeps catching heat from politicians who claim the agency has given up on the 15 year plan, and must complete it before asking for more money. Some lawmakers are saying it’s the little things that have to be fixed to regain public confidence.
