A special task force looking for ways of keeping natural gas users from getting nailed by big heating bill increases this winter will issue its report a month from this week. The Public Service Commission will get the report and consider any emergency resolutions that must be enacted before the cold weather comes. The task force has several recommendations for changing the way natural gas companies buy and store supplies. And task force chairman Warren Wood says Missouri needs to adopt some heating-help programs similar to those in other states.
