Royals Beat Garcia Again

July 25, 2001 By admin Leave a Comment

For the second time in less then a week, Kris Wilson outdueled All-Star righthander Freddy Garcia as the Kansas City Royals beat the Seattle Mariners 6-1. Wilson (5-1) allowed just the one run on seven hits in eight innings of work. He did not walk a batter and struck out six. Garcia did not pitch poorly, allowing just four runs in eight innings of work but he falls to 11-3. Two of his three losses this season have come against the Royals. Mark Quinn had a two-run home run in the win for Kansas City.
