Royals Drubbed Again by A’s

Ron Gant blasted a three-run home run in the second inning to break the game open and the Oakland A’s cruised from there, beating the Kansas City Royals 7-2 on Monday. The Royals dropped three out of four in this series to Oakland. Chad Durbin (6-9) allowed six runs on seven hits in six innings of work to take the loss. Tim Hudson was touched for a pair of runs in seven innings to earn the win. The A’s ace is now 12-5 on the season. Jermaine Dye had a pair of hits, including a home run, in defeat for the Royals.
