The NL Central-leading Chicago Cubs beat the Kansas City Royals 7-4 on Tuesday in the finale of their three-game series at Wrigley. The Royals actually led 4-1 heading to the bottom of the seventh inning, but that’s when the Cubs scored five times to take the lead and eventually the victory. Tony Cogan takes the loss for the Royals, the rookie lefthander is now 0-4 on the season. He was the second of three pitchers used by the Royals in that seventh inning. Jeff Suppan gets a no-decision for the Kansas City despite pitching solid baseball. The righthander allowed four runs on seven hits in 6 1/3 innings, he walked just one and struck out six.
