Make it four straight victories for the St. Louis Cardinals who are starting to show some signs of life for the first time in weeks. The Cardinals beat Minnesota last night 4-2, completing a three-game sweep of the AL Central leading Twins. Darryl Kile pitched 6 1/3 strong innings for St. Louis to pick up the win and improve to 10-7 on the season. The righthander allowed just one run on seven hits, he struck out six and did not walk a batter. At the plate, Fernando Vina, Jim Edmonds and Mike Matheny each cracked two hits a piece in the win for the Cardinals, who remain seven games out of first in the National League Central.
