Former Royal Kevin Young blasted a two-run home run in the seventh-inning for the only scoring of the game as the Pittsburgh Pirates blanked the Kansas City Royals 2-0 last night. The Royals lost their eighth straight despite a great pitching performance from starter Jeff Suppan. The righthander falls to 4-8 despite allowing just the two-runs on five hits in seven innings of work. Jimmy Anderson (5-8) pitched 8 1/3 innings of shutout ball to earn the win for the Pirates.
