Missouri Casinos Score Big

Missouri’s casinos had a milestone year. The good year for casinos means it’s been an expensive year gamblers – to the tune of $1-billion. For the casinos, it’s $1-billion in income; for gamblers, it’s $1-billion in losses. The State Gaming Commission says steady growth in a maturing industry is evident in those results. But the numbers also show the gaming inudstry can thrive in a tightly-regulated industry. Attendance in Missouri’s casinos is down, but gamblers are spending more.
