The Kansas City Chiefs have addressed their need at wide receiver by agreeing to terms with free agent Derrick Mayes. The former Seattle Seahawk and Green Bay Packer is expected to sign a one-year deal with the Chiefs worth 477-thousand dollars. An incentive package is also included in the deal. The Chiefs were thin at wide reciever, but the need for another pas catcher became even greater when second-year man Sylvester Morris was lost for the at least six months with a torn ACL. Mayes was plagued by injuries last season which limited him to just eight starts for Seattle. He caught 29 balls for 264 yards and one touchdown in 2000.
