Missouri Officials Mulling Over Electric Deregulation

Despite some of the problems in California, there are many Missourians talking about the possible deregulation of this state’s electric utility industry. The State Public Service Commission is paying close attention. There is no single deregulation plan – there are several. Some are thought of as promising, while others are considered somewhat scary. The Public Service Commission won’t weigh in on the various suggestions, but it does point out it has one simple view: Deregulation should do no harm and customers should be no worse off under deregulation than they are now.
