Maurice Jeffers became the first SLU product since Larry Hughes to be selected on draft day as he was taken in the second round, 55th overall by the Sacramento Kings. Jeffers averaged 16 points and six rebounds a game as a senior last season. St. Louis native Loren Woods also heard his nme called last night. The University of Arizona center was chosen 45th overall by the Minnesota Timberwolves.
