The State Farm Insurance Company is out with its top ten list of Missouri’s most dangerous intersections. Topping the list is the corner of Gravois Road and Lindbergh Boulevard in St. Louis. In fact, six of the top ten locations on the list are in the St. Louis area. There are three Springfield locations, including Glenstone Avenue and Sunshine Street, which topped the list last year and now checks in at number two. An Independence intersection rounds out the list. State Farm comes up with the list based on claims from its policyholders and information on the severity of crashes. It makes money available to communities in which the danger zones exist to help them study ways of making the intersections safer.
