Sammy Sosa homered twice, including a game-breaking seventh inning grand slam, as the Chicago Cubs blasted the St. Louis Cardinals 9-4. The win snaps the Cubs 13-game losing streak at Busch Stadium. Sosa hit his slam off of Jason Christiensen, but the loss last night went to lefthander Mike Matthews who allowed three runs in four innings of work. He falls to 2-3 on the season. With the win, the Cubs expand their lead in the National League Central to five games over the Cardinals. Placido Polanco had three hits in defeat for St. Louis.
