James Baldwin pitched into the seventh and the White Sox held on to beat the Royals Tuesday in Chicago. Royce Clayton did the offensive damage. The shortstop, who entered Tuesday’s game with a .150 average, had a three-run homer and an RBI-double. Mike Sweeney and Raul Ibanez homered for Kansas City. Jeff Suppan took the loss. The two teams hook up today for a matinee.
