St. Louis won its fifth game in a row with a 3-2 triumph over division-leading Chicago. Starter Matt Morris won his ninth of the year, going seven innings and giving up just a run. Morris is now 7-1 at home with a 1.43 ERA. The Cards now trail Chicago by four games in the NL Central. Both teams are at it again tonight on national TV.
