Bond Blasts Democrats’ Patient Bill Of Rights

June 20, 2001 By admin Leave a Comment

Senator Christopher Bond is speaking out against the Patients’ Bill of Rights being debated by the U.S. Senate. Bond took to the floor of the Senate to criticize the package as a bill that favors trial lawyers over the interests of people. He adds many small businesses will cancel their health care coverage if they are to be subjected to lawsuits. He says it is time to focus on health care and not on benefitting trial lawyers. He favors a solution proposed by his fellow Republicans – one that would restrict lawsuits.
