Governor Bob Holden has signed legislation revising information that school districts must provide parents and taxpayers with annual school district report cards. One of the major changes will require each public school to annually report the number of students expelled, the number of students suspended for more than ten days, and the reasons for those disciplinary actions. The report cards must also include basic infomation about enrollment, number of teachers, teacher salaries, district financial data, dropout rate, per-pupil spending, and other key elements.
