Farmers, state lawmakers, and representatives of farm groups met in Jefferson City to work on issues related to agriculture. The Governor’s Task Force on Agriculture has scheduled a series of meetings throghout the state. Agriculture Director Lowell Mohler is the Chairman of the 38-member task force. He says one of the issues the group will look at is the newly implemented state Livestock Marketing Law, which went through a two-year court battle from meat packers and producer groups which say the law is confusing.
