The Missouri Farm Bureau will begin a statewide, six-month effort to develop a consensus for addressing the state’s transportation needs. The Farm Bureau lobbied against the $747-million transportation plan put forward by Governor Bob Holden, that passed the House, and failed in the Senate. The Farm Bureau plans to work with the Department of Transportation and the Holden Administration on an acceptable plan. Meetings are planned in communities throughout the state.
