The Cardinals were stymied by Chicago’s Kerry Wood in a 4-1 loss yesterday to the Cubs. Wood, who has won his last four decisions, took a no-hitter into the sixth inning. Kerry Robinson’s single to leadoff the sixth ignited the Cards’ best scoring opportunity. But Wood wriggled out of a no-outs, bases-loaded jam in the sixth allowing just a single run.Sammy Sosa, Matt Stairs and Rondell White all homered for the Cubs.
