University Of Missouri Researchers Make Progress Battling Cancer

June 6, 2001 By admin Leave a Comment

University of Missouri researchers have developed a treatment for some types of inoperable cancer. The treatments clear-up the disease without making patients sicker. The current problem is that many of the treatments for inoperable liver cancer expose the patient to high levels of radiation, making the patient sick. The solution to the problem might be TheraSphere – microscopic glass beads treated with radiation to stop cancer. The treatment can be delivered through the arteries that provide the cancerous area with blood.
