After weeks of speculation, the hammer finally dropped on the IHL on Monday. the league officially ceased operations yesterday and as expected six of the league’s eleven franchises joined the AHL. The Kansas City Blades were not one of the six to move on and as a result, they folded on Monday. The Blades had been in existence since 1990.
