Racial Profiling Report: Blacks More Likely To Be Pulled Over

Black drivers are 30 percent more likely to be stopped by law enforcement than are white drivers. That, according to a report on racial profiling released by the Attorney General’s Office. Attorney General Jay Nixon calls the first statewide study indicates there is some validity to some of the perceptions that exist. Nixon says the repirt is important to help the public understand the issue and to make law enforcement more sensitive to the issue.
