Rey Sanchez extended his hitting streak to 18 games with a 4-5 performance at the plate, leading the Kansas City Royals to an 8-2 win over the Texas Rangers. The Royals finished the game with 15 hits, the biggest blows being back-to-back two-run doubles in the seventh by David McCarty and A.J. Hinch. Blake Stein pitched five innings, allowing just the two runs to improve to 2-4 on the season. Kris Wilson pitched four scoreless frames in relief to earn his first save of the season. The Royals will now play three games in Anaheim.
