Skelton Hails Pentagon Decision To Reduce Troops In Bosnia

May 29, 2001 By admin Leave a Comment

The Pentagon has announced it will reduce the number of U.S. troops in Bosnia to 3,000. Though no timeframe has been given for the drawdown, Central Missouri Congressman Ike Skelton, the ranking Democrat on the House Armed Services Committee, is generally pleased with the decision to reduce the number of troops. Skelton says the U.S. military operation in the region has been a success. He says he is now concerned with another hotspot in the Balkans – Kosovo.
