Royals Smack A’s 4-1

Chad Durbin stymied the Oakland A’s on four hits over seven innings, leading the Kansas City Royals to a 4-1 win on Wednesday night. Durbin was touched for just the one run while walking four and striking out four. The righthander has now one three straight decisions. Jason Grimsley pitched a scoreless eighth inning while Roberto Hernandez closed the door to earn his eighth save. Kansas City cracked ten hits in earning a split of their mini two-game series with the A’s.
