A program encouraging Missouri’s mentally and physically impaired to go to work was one of the bills that made it through the State Legislature as the session neared a close. Senator Betty Sims of Ladue was the sponsor of a bill that allows those individuals to work without losing state insurance benefits. The bill lets the disabled earn about $16,000 a year and keep their coverage.
