Senate Passes .08 Bill

May 18, 2001 By admin Leave a Comment

The Senate has followed the lead of the Missouri House in passing legislation lowering the legal blood alcohol limit for drunken driving from .10 to .08. There were concerns that failure to pass the measure would result in Missouri losing millions of dollars in federal funding for highway construction and repairs. The bill now goes to Governor Holden for his signature.
