Transportation Bill "Dead" In Senate

May 17, 2001 By admin Leave a Comment

Legislation providing hunderds of millions of dollars for transportation is all but done for this year. The transportation funding bill was left on life support after Senators ganged up on it Wednesday night. Today, Senate floor leader Bill Kenney of Lee’s Summit tried to pull the plug, declaring the bill “dead.” Sponspr Jim Mathewson of Sedalia is hoping for one more chance to send the measure to a vote of the people.
